📒 Introduction

The Business Diagnostics session is like a check-up for your Startups. It helps us understand how your business is currently doing, what impact it's making and what challenges you are facing. The results of this diagnosis will guide us in determining the right support to help you develop your Startups

🎯 Objectives

1. To understand the overview of current condition for Startups in terms of business and impacts
2. Assessing the baseline that become the basis for measuring the success of Startups at the end of the program
3. Mapping the needs of Startups during the acceleration phases
4. Finding the right support and mentor to assist the Startups throughout the program

🗓️ Business Diagnostic Process

1. Self-Assessment by Startups (3 - 5 July 2024)
   • Startups fill in and complete the SEED Map Assessment in the provided sheet
   • Don’t hesitate to reach out in the WhatsApp group if you have any questions!
2. Business Diagnosis 1-on-1 Sessions (9 - 10 July 2024)
   • Instellar team prepares a preliminary diagnosis result in the designated tab sheet based on SEED Map Assessment
   • Startups will get a 1-on-1 session with Instellar team to understand their specific needs, on Programme Onboarding Session
   • During and After the 1-on-1 session, the result will be analyzed together as well as set priorities level, targets, and initial strategies to address the problem

To help you better understand this business diagnostic session, our Head of Programme will assist you by providing explanations, so you can fully grasp the context and approach for completing the assessment.

1. Introduction to Business Diagnostic

   Begin by opening your Notion page and familiarize yourself with the information provided. Then, open your individual business development plan sheets. Each sheet contains different tools and objectives. Take some time to understand these tools.

2. Completing the SEED Map Assessment

   • Go to your SEED Map assessment.
   • You'll encounter a radar chart and a variety of both quantitative and qualitative questions in the sheet.
   • The assessment is divided into 7 areas or streams. Each stream includes 5 quantitative questions and several qualitative ones.
   • Fill in the assessment by entering your responses in the yellow boxes.
   • For quantitative questions, read each one carefully, then rate on a scale of 1-4. Use the answer indicators provided as a guide and base your scores on your honest judgment of your current venture's condition.
   • For qualitative questions, answer as truthfully and accurately as possible. Remember, the aim is not to impress but to convey your real situation, enabling us to offer the most relevant support.
   • Once you’ve answered all questions, the radar chart will update to reflect your scores, helping you identify areas that are lacking and need prioritization.

3. The Summary in Diagnosis Result Tab Sheet

   • Once you've completed the SEED Map assessment, our team will analyze your responses, extract insights, and compile them into the diagnosis results.
   • The diagnosis results will include a list of challenges or problems faced by Startups that need to be addressed.
   • During the 1-on-1 session, we will collaborate with the Startups to determine the priority level of each challenge, deciding which issues are most urgent.
   • After establishing the priority levels, Startups will discuss the targets for resolving these issues and strategize on how to tackle them.
   • This concluding session will take place between January 4-9, 2024. However, if you wish to start addressing some issues earlier, you are more than welcome to do so

4. Strategizing with the Business Development Plan

   • After completing the diagnosis results, you are required to fill out the business development plan. This tool is designed to outline a strategic roadmap to address the challenges identified.
   • The tool is created to be straight forward, aiming to easily track progress.
   • First, there is a 'Strategic Plan' column. To fill this in, you simply need to link this strategic plan to the diagnosis results from the previous sheet.
   • Your task is to break down the action plan into more detailed steps for each quarter. You can outline tasks to be completed or set specific achievement targets.
   • There is also a 'Realization' column. This column will be filled out jointly each quarter with the Instellar team and your thought partner during the venture check sessions and updates
